About the NRPA/ Annual Report 2014.
The Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) established an Environmental Unit at the Polar Environmental Centre in Tromsø in the summer of 1999. The aim of establishing the unit in Tromsø was to further the monitoring programmes of the NRPA in the Arctic and to the promote collaboration within the Polar Environmental Centre.

The emergency Preparedness Unit was established in 1993 and is today one of the two regional units of the Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority. The text is in russian.
The Emergency Preparedness Unit at Svanhovd was established in 1993 and is today one of the two regional units of NRPA.
In 1999 NRPA established an Environmental Unit in the Polar Environmental Centre in Tromsø. The Centre is a collaborative integration of independent units and contains institutions and departments of institutions with missions pertaining to research, surveillance and consulting in the northern regions and the Artic and Antarctic.

Contribute to international nuclear safety to help reduce the risk of radioactive contamination.
