Radek received his M.Sc. in Experimental Particle Physics from the University of Bergen (1998) and his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Czech Technical University (2002). Before that he had also obtained B.S. and M.Sc. in finance and M.Sc. in nuclear engineering. He initially focused on risk management in finance for Dublin and London based multinational banks, followed by work in the Department of Nuclear Reactor of the Czech Technical University in Prague where he is based now. He lectures topics related to economics and liaises with international bodies like ENEN or WNA. Last year Radek was responsible for the succesful HEU-LEU fuel replacement at the university VR-1 "SPARROW" nuclear reactor.
