Solarium models no longer approved
From 1 January 2006 only solariums classified as UV type 3 are allowed for sale, rental
or use in a solarium business. That applies to almost all solariums approved in 1993 or later. The comment field on the solarium lists tells you whether the solarium is
UV type 3 or not. "Ikke UV-type 3" means that the solarium is not a UV type 3 solarium.
The link below shows an overview of solarium models that do not satisfy UV type 3
requirements. Some of these old models are approved with new approval numbers, as
shown in the table below.
List over solarium models no longer approved
Those who still want to use solariums not classified as UV type 3 must apply for approval
based on the new requirements and newer measurements of the solariums. An option is
to apply for a permit to continue to use the old solarium. Such a permit will be given
for most solariums with weak lamps (replacement lamps) for a period of 5 years.
The following models are by 1 January 2007 either measured again or evaluated based
on documentation and classified as UV type 3:
