Decision support system

ARGOS (Accident Reporting and Guidance Operational System) is a decision support system for preparedness and crisis management that is implemented by the NRPA.

In addition to Norway, the software is used in Denmark, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Australia.

ARGOS.
ARGOS makes it easier to obtain an overall picture of the situation where there may have been radioactive fallout over areas in Norway.

Graphic Presentation of Measure Data
ARGOS is a tool that arranges a graphic presentation of measure data and results from different types of prognoses. The program makes it easier to obtain an overall picture of the situation where there may have been radioactive fallout over areas in Norway, presenting data from the measuring stations and prognoses from the meteorological models in a joint graphic interface.

Meteorological Dispersion Models
ARGOS handles measure data from stations and/or mobile units. As a prognosis tool, ARGOS is able to present results from meteorological dispersion models on a local or regional level. Additionally, the system has a module for graphic presentation of prognoses for activity in foodstuffs and doses in the population during the aftermath of a possible incident.
